David Shillinglaw

Born to british parents in Saudi Arabia, David Shillinglaw was raised in London, and now lives and works in Margate.

Shillinglaw is a painter and muralist celebrated for his works exploring human nature, success and failure, and the language people use to describe their experiences. Often shifting between mediums, he embraces change as a catalyst for fresh ideas and artistic growth. His work draws from places travelled, people encountered and most significantly, times when he felt lost. For David, getting lost is a powerful creative force, revealing a deeper understanding of oneself and a heightened appreciation for the richness of life.
