  • Artist and writer Amy Gear’s practice is rooted in landscape and the body and spans across various mediums, including printmaking, drawing, painting, sculpture, and a separate writing practice. Gear is based in Shetland, where she is a co-director, a tutor and an artist at Gaada, Shetland’s visual art workshop and a Trustee of the Scottish Contemporary Art Network (SCAN).

    Gear graduated with an MA from the Royal College of Art (2015) and a BA from Gray’s School of Art (2012) and has exhibited internationally.
