The Homage to Gabo is a series of mono colour woodblock prints inspired by Naum Gabo primarily known for world famous monumental sculptures.
Gabo also turned his hand in printmaking and used an unusual method of printing with furniture - a sawn-off table leg, or a door knob, engraving a rock-solid piece of mahogany into Japanese paper. The woodblock prints by Narielwalla follow a similar working method - pattern drafts for clothing have been removed from their intended purpose of making clothes now inverted, stretched and played around to create simple aesthetic compositions in the same visual lyrics of Gabo.
